Box Office Success of 'Hanuman Ansh'


New Delhi: The film Hanuman Ansh, inspired by the teachings and life of Neem Karoli Baba, has impressively grossed Rs 227 crore at the box office.


Directed by Vishal Chaturvedi, the narrative centers around a young man named Lakshminarayan, who, after losing his mother, embarks on a profound spiritual quest to find God.


As per data from the trade analysis platform Sacnilk, the film's net earnings at the domestic box office have reached Rs 192.13 crore.


Produced on a modest budget of only Rs 2 crore, the film debuted in Indian cinemas on August 7. Initially, it faced slow box office performance, but it gained momentum due to favorable reviews.


The cast includes Shobhinaw Satya in the lead role, supported by Vihaan Shedge, Chandan K Anand, Purnima Tiwari, Anil Rastogi, Gulshan Pandey, and Bhagvandas Patel.


Neem Karoli Baba, who was born around 1900 in Firozabad district, Uttar Pradesh, passed away in 1973. He began his life as a married man before becoming a wandering ascetic.


His followers include notable personalities like Julia Roberts, Virat Kohli, and Anushka Sharma, with tech giants Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg also having visited his ashram in Kainchi Dham.


The film started with a release on 250 screens, which has now expanded to 2,000 screens due to its box office success.
