In a remarkable debut, the film Haiwaan, featuring stars Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Kumar, has generated an impressive Rs 4.60 crore on its opening day at the global box office.

Directed by the acclaimed Priyadarshan, known for his successful comedies like Hera Pheri and Bhool Bhulaiyaa, this film marks a significant reunion for Kumar and Khan after 17 years. Their previous collaborations include popular titles such as Main Khiladi Tu Anari and Tashan.

The duo last shared the screen in the 2008 action-packed film Tashan, which also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan and Anil Kapoor.

As reported by the trade analysis platform Sacnilk, Haiwaan has achieved a domestic box office collection of Rs 3.60 crore, alongside Rs 1 crore from international markets.

In this film, Khan portrays Shyam, a visually impaired martial artist and caretaker, who adeptly navigates life using his enhanced senses.

The cast also includes talented actors such as Saiyami Kher, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Rajpal Yadav, Sharib Hashmi, and the late Asrani, contributing to the film's diverse ensemble. Production credits go to Venkat K Narayana and Shailaja Desai Fenn.
