Akanksha noted that Gaurav initially respected her feelings about parenthood, but their views shifted over time. She explained that Gaurav developed a strong desire to have children, while she remained resolute in her choice not to become a mother. She stated, "Now, he wants to have kids and I can't provide that. Nahi hein mere mein instinct, woh maine bohot pehle bol diya tha."

She emphasized that she had been honest about her feelings from the beginning and never intended to mislead her husband. Akanksha remarked, "Jab mujhe realise ho gaya ki main bani hi nahi hu iss cheez ke liye maine tabhi hi bol diya tha ki main nahi karne waali hoon. So we had a discussion where I told him if you want to leave me then leave me, fair enough."

Reflecting on marriage and parenthood, she noted that many couples marry with the expectation of starting a family. Akanksha clarified that she does not blame Gaurav for wanting children; rather, they simply have different life aspirations. After Gaurav's stint on Bigg Boss, she recognized his strong desire for parenthood. "For me, I don't want to put him in that situation," she added.

Furthermore, Akanksha clarified that her decision to remain child-free extends beyond biological parenthood. She expressed that she has no intention of adopting a child either, as she genuinely wishes to lead a life without children.
