Vipul Roy Files Complaint Against Maid
Vipul Roy, recognized for his performance in the series FIR, has taken legal action against his maid, accusing her of stealing valuable possessions from his home, including foreign currency, gold, and diamonds. On Tuesday, he reported the incident to the Khar police station, which has since initiated an investigation. Authorities are currently gathering information about the domestic worker before taking further steps. In his complaint, Vipul claimed that the maid allegedly made off with foreign currency worth Rs 5 lakh, in addition to gold and diamond jewelry valued at Rs 2 lakh.
Details of the Allegation
According to a report, Vipul identified the maid as Dipali Kharwa in his police statement. He mentioned that he had employed her through an online platform. Dipali had previously worked in his household multiple times, which led him to rehire her recently. In his complaint, the Sa Re Ga Ma Pa host noted that just before heading to work, he checked his cupboard and found several valuable items missing. The police confirmed that the actor filed the complaint after returning from an overseas trip.
His report detailed that 30 notes of 100 dollars, 7,000 dirhams, and 14,500 Thai baht, amounting to Rs 5 lakh, along with a silver bracelet worth Rs 85,000 and gold diamond rings valued at Rs 1.25 lakh, were taken from his residence. Following the incident, the actor lodged a complaint but has yet to comment on the theft via social media.
