AR Amin's Car Accident in Chennai

AR Amin, the son of the celebrated composer AR Rahman, has recently garnered attention due to a car accident that occurred in Chennai. Thankfully, the young artist sustained only minor injuries and was released from the hospital after receiving necessary medical care. This incident has heightened public interest in Amin, who is diligently establishing his own identity in the music scene, separate from his father's illustrious reputation.

Born on January 6, 2003, Amin was raised in a prominent musical family, immersed in melodies from a young age. However, he has voiced his ambition to create his own legacy rather than merely existing in his father's shadow. Amin made his debut in playback singing in 2015 with the track "Moula Wa Salim" from Mani Ratnam's film "O Kadhal Kanmani." Since then, he has ventured into various languages and genres, performing alongside his father at international events.

His contributions to film music include tracks like "Mard Maratha" from "Panipat" and the Tamil rendition of "Chikni Chameli" for Ram Charan's upcoming project. Beyond film scores, he has also released singles such as "Sago" while still attending school. Recently, he teamed up with singer-songwriter Jasleen Royal for the song "Bheegi Bheegi," a piece composed by AR Rahman, featuring actors Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur in its music video.

Despite the challenges of being AR Rahman's son, Amin has openly discussed the weight of his father's legacy, describing it as beyond comprehension. He recognizes that he is at the beginning of his career and has much to achieve. The father-son relationship extends beyond music, as they share passions for technology, films, and photography. Following the car accident, authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident, which involved Amin's Porsche colliding with a Wagon R near the Kathipara flyover early Monday morning. Both Amin and the other parties involved were hospitalized but later released after being treated for minor injuries.
