Details of the Robbery at Tiger Baby Films

The investigation revolves around the disappearance of 66 hard disks from the office of Tiger Baby Films, a production label co-founded by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti. Reports indicate that the stolen drives contained highly sensitive production information related to films, OTT projects, advertisements, and archival content. Investigators suspect that the stolen devices included raw footage, edited scenes, post-production backups, and files from unreleased projects.

The estimated value of the stolen storage devices and the data loss is between Rs 12 and 13 lakh. The missing data reportedly included material linked to popular projects like Made in Heaven and Ghost Stories. The issue came to light on May 21 when staff members at the production company discovered that several hard disks necessary for ongoing work were missing. An internal review revealed damaged storage boxes and multiple empty hard disk cases within the office. The company’s inventory listed a total of 119 hard disks, of which 66 were reported missing. The stolen drives are believed to have storage capacities ranging from 16TB to 72TB, indicating the extensive amount of data involved in the theft.

The official complaint was filed by Mehjabeen Mushtaq Shaikh, the executive assistant and HR administrator at Tiger Baby Digital LLP. Following the complaint, the Bandra police registered an FIR against Mohammad Shahid Azim Khan and Ritesh Suresh Shah. Both individuals have been arrested and are currently in police custody as investigations continue.
