Recently, Prosenjit Chatterjee was honored with the prestigious Padma Shri Award for his significant contributions to the arts, particularly in Indian cinema. Over his three-decade career, he has starred in more than 200 films, primarily in the Bengali film sector, with notable works including Chotto Jigyasa, Amar Sangi, Chokher Bali, Shob Charitro Kalponik, Moner Manush, Jaatishwar, Baishe Srabon, Shankhachil, and Autograph. He began his acting journey as a child artist in the 1968 film Chotto Jigyasa and made his leading role debut in the 1983 film Duti Pata.
