Mumbai: The Hindi film industry's leading star, Salman Khan, commands attention whenever he speaks seriously. Recently, actor Varun Dhawan, who appeared in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, shared his thoughts on Salman removing his T-shirt during a recent episode of 'Bigg Boss'.

On Sunday, Varun posted a video on his Instagram Stories featuring himself and his father, David Dhawan, as they watched the moment Salman took off his shirt.

While Varun didn't add any commentary, his father's reaction to Salman's bold move was evident. In the latest episode, Salman addressed the issue of body-shaming, particularly after trolls targeted actress Katrina Kaif for her postpartum weight. He also defended himself against similar criticisms regarding his own weight gain and recent public appearances where he wore headgear.

Salman expressed on the show, "Kamaal hai! Pehle, apne aap ko dekho bhai. Yeh jo aap log comment karte ho na, jiske upar, kisi ke bhi upar, pehle apni shakal dekh lo. Apna jism dekhlo usme baad karna ye." (First, look at yourself, brother. You people who comment on someone, first look at your own face. Look at your own body, and then do this.)

"Apne maa-baap ko dekhlo pehle, unki sehat dekhlo. Uske baad karna, samjhe? Ek samajh aata hai ki 'bhai, you’ve lost weight or put on weight... woh samajh aata hai, lekin mazaak udaana." (Look at your parents first, look at their health. Then go ahead and do it, understood? It is understandable if you say, 'Brother, you’ve lost weight or put on weight'. That is fine, but making fun of someone?)"

Salman also mentioned Varun while discussing how celebrities often become targets for harsh public scrutiny.
