Akshay Kumar's new ensemble film, Welcome To The Jungle, has made a remarkable debut at the box office. Released on June 26, the film's paid previews kicked off a day earlier, on June 25. Featuring a star-studded cast of over 34 actors, the film was anticipated to perform well. It garnered a respectable Rs 3.75 crore during the previews, and on its opening day, it earned more than Rs 15 crore, bringing the total to an impressive Rs 18.75 crore.

With an opening day collection of Rs 18.75 crore, Welcome To The Jungle has surpassed Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna's Cocktail 2, which earned Rs 14.10 crore, as well as Akshay's own Bhooth Bangla, which made Rs 17.90 crore. This positions it as the third highest Bollywood opener of the year, following Sunny Deol's Border 2 (Rs 32.10 crore) and Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar The Revenge (Rs 145 crore).
However, it fell short of Akshay's previous multistarrer, Housefull 5, which opened at Rs 24.35 crore. Despite this, the opening day figures are promising given the current state of the box office, and positive word of mouth could lead to a significant increase in ticket sales over the weekend, especially as the film appeals to family audiences.
