Vijay Deverakonda's Mixed Emotions on Court Decision

Hyderabad: Actor Vijay Deverakonda has shared his feelings of both joy and disappointment regarding a recent court ruling that limits reviews for Chiranjeevi's upcoming film, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. This decision aims to curb organized negative campaigns and unfair ratings against the movie.

Directed by Anil Ravipudi, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is set to release on January 12, coinciding with the Sankranthi festival.

In a post on his X account, Deverakonda expressed, "I feel both happy and sad about this situation. It's reassuring to see that the hard work, aspirations, and investments of many are being safeguarded. However, it saddens me to witness the issues created by our own community. What happened to the idea of coexistence and mutual growth?"

Deverakonda further noted that he first recognized the troubling dynamics of organized attacks during the release of his film Dear Comrade. He stated, "From the time of Dear Comrade, I began to witness the disturbing politics surrounding these attacks. My concerns have often gone unheard, with many claiming that no one can hinder a good film. However, every producer and director who collaborates with me soon realizes the extent of the problem."

He added, "I've spent countless nights pondering the motivations behind such actions and how to protect my aspirations and those of future filmmakers. I am relieved that this issue is now acknowledged publicly, and the court recognizes the threats faced by films, even those featuring a superstar like Chiranjeevi. While this ruling won't completely resolve the issue, it alleviates one concern. Let's hope that #MSG and other films released during Sankranthi perform exceptionally well and entertain audiences during the festive season."
