The actor, who previously collaborated with Aditya Dhar in his debut directorial venture, Uri – The Surgical Strike, took to Instagram Stories to commend the team. He highlighted Aditya's direction as a ‘gold standard’. Vicky shares a close bond with both Dhar and Yami Gautam. Following the success of Dhurandhar, fans are calling for the revival of the duo’s long-delayed project, The Immortal Ashwatthama, which was announced years ago. Although Shahid Kapoor was later attached to the project with a new production house, filming has yet to commence.

You deserve every bit of this success,” and mentioned that Ranveer Singh serves as an inspiration to him as an actor. He also praised R Madhavan’s performance, describing it as a ‘joy to watch’. He admitted he had not yet seen the film, stating, "I'm just very happy to see how 'Dhurandhar' is working. I loved the first part, I'm yet to watch the second part.” He added, “But Aditya is a great filmmaker, he's got a great cast together and I'm so happy that everyone is loving the film so much and I can't wait to catch it as soon as I go back to Mumbai.”

Before the release of Dhurandhar 2, there were rumors about Vicky making a cameo as Vihaan Shergill, his character from Uri – The Surgical Strike. After the release of Dhurandhar, fans noticed potential links between the two films. In Uri, Vicky’s character meets an Indian Air Force pilot, Flight Lieutenant Seerat Kaur, whose husband is killed in an ambush. A viral clip features Kirti Kulhari, who portrays Seerat in Uri, revealing her husband’s name as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, an officer from the Punjab regiment who died during the Naushera Sector ambush. However, this speculation turned out to be unfounded. In Dhurandhar 2, Ranveer Singh portrays Jaskirat Singh Rangi/Hamza Ali Mazari. The film is projected to surpass the ₹900 crore mark in India today.
