Diljit Dosanjh has faced criticism following the release of the trailer for Sardaar Ji 3, primarily due to his collaboration with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Amidst backlash from fans and film organizations, there were rumors suggesting that Diljit might be removed from Border 2.

However, Diljit dispelled these rumors with a bold statement made through a video reel rather than words. In a recent Instagram post, he shared a behind-the-scenes clip showing him exiting his vanity van, proudly displaying army badges with his name. He captioned it simply as ‘Border 2’ and included the iconic patriotic song Sandese Aate Hain from the original Border film, confirming his role in the project.

Directed by J.P. Dutta, Border 2 is a spiritual successor to the acclaimed 1997 war film Border. The cast features Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Ahan Shetty, and Diljit Dosanjh, along with Suniel Shetty, Rashmika Mandanna, Sonam Bajwa, Vinali Bhatnagar, Paramvir Cheema, Nishan Singh, Guneet Sandhu, Mouni Roy, and Sai Dibyajyoti Behera.
