The much-anticipated film starring Varun Dhawan, titled Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, is set to hit theaters on June 5, 2026. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has granted the film a U/A rating, allowing viewers aged 16 and older to watch it. In the process of certification, the CBFC's examining committee requested several modifications, including the removal of certain condom brand names and inappropriate gestures. The filmmakers have agreed to these changes, leading to the issuance of the censor certificate on May 27.

As reported by a media outlet, the CBFC instructed the makers of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai to replace specific words with more suitable alternatives in four instances. Additionally, they were asked to edit out a vulgar hand gesture and to blur the condom brand name, while muting the flavor names. Notably, there is a scene featuring England cricket players Jos Butler and Ben Stokes that has been visually altered to last only six seconds.

Furthermore, the filmmakers were instructed to focus on the faces and upper bodies of women in dance scenes to avoid showing undergarments. The final runtime of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai is 136.40 minutes (2 hours, 16 minutes, and 40 seconds). With the censor certificate secured, the film is poised for a smooth release on June 5, although it will face stiff competition from Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor's pan-India film, Peddi, which is set to release a day earlier on June 4, 2026.
