Uorfi Javed Responds to Online Hate Following Her Victory

Mumbai: Following her triumph on 'The Traitors', Uorfi Javed took to social media to express her distress over receiving threats and abusive messages from individuals displeased with her success.

Although accustomed to online criticism, Uorfi highlighted that this backlash is not related to her fashion choices but rather her recent win. Undeterred by the negativity, she reminded her followers that such hate has never hindered her before, and it won't now. On Instagram, the actress, known for her appearance on Bigg Boss OTT, shared screenshots of the hateful messages she received after winning the Karan Johar-hosted show.

Uorfi stated, “When you dislike something a girl does, just drop the ‘R’ word. This isn’t the first time I’ve faced threats or abuse, but this time it’s not about my outfits; it’s because I won a show. Imagine being so small-minded that when your favorite contestant loses, you resort to threats and insults.”

She continued, “These are the mildest messages I’ve shared. Regardless of my actions, some people just thrive on hate and abuse. If I support Harsh, I’m blind in love; if I eliminate him, I’m a traitor. If I let Purav win, I’m foolish; if I don’t, I’m a cheater. Hate has never stopped me before, and it never will.”

Uorfi Javed frequently encounters severe trolling and online hostility due to her daring and revealing fashion choices. Nevertheless, she has made it clear that she remains unaffected by such negativity.

Recently, Uorfi, who gained popularity from her participation in 'Bigg Boss OTT 1', emerged victorious on 'The Traitors'.

Alongside Nikita Luther, she claimed the title in the inaugural season of 'The Traitors', a reality show hosted by Karan Johar. In a thrilling finale, the pair outmaneuvered their fellow contestants Sudhanshu Pandey and the two traitors, Harsh Gujral and Purav Jha. Uorfi and Nikita shared a grand prize of ₹70 lakhs.
