How to Engage with NYT Connections

In NYT Connections, players receive a grid filled with words, and the objective is to identify the hidden connections among them. Consider synonyms, antonyms, and word families to solve the puzzle. If you encounter difficulties, hints are available within the game. You can also track your daily progress and challenge friends to see who can solve the most puzzles.

A new puzzle is released daily at midnight, accessible via the NYT website or app. Your task is to organize 16 words into four groups of four based on their connections. Be cautious, as some words may fit into multiple categories, requiring strategic thinking.

Each group is color-coded, with yellow typically being the easiest, followed by blue and green, while purple often presents the most challenging wordplay. Select four words that you believe belong together and click ‘Submit’. Incorrect guesses result in a loss of life, and if you make four mistakes, the game ends.
