Vishal Vashishtha Discusses His Role in Netflix's 'Glory' and Character's Tragic Fate
Vishal Vashishtha's Performance in 'Glory'
Vishal Vashishtha has garnered significant acclaim for his portrayal of Haryana police inspector Arvind in the Netflix series Glory, which stars Divyenndu and Pulkit Samrat. He shares the screen with Kashmira Pardeshi, who plays Bharti. Vishal's character is depicted as a dedicated officer striving to solve a complex case, but his storyline takes a tragic turn.
Insights on His Final Scene
In an exclusive interview, Vishal reflected on his intense final scene with Kashmira, describing it as quite demanding. He expressed admiration for her talent, stating, “Working with her was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere on set was filled with positivity, and we were all committed to delivering a compelling performance. Everyone was well-prepared, allowing us to improvise and enhance our scenes.”
Discussing the climactic moment, Vishal mentioned, “In the final scene, I had to physically confront her, which was quite intense. She handled it like a pro, enduring the chaos with grace.” The chemistry between Arvind and Bharti is a standout aspect of Glory. When asked about their initial interactions, he noted, “We connected during the script reading, which set a comfortable tone for our performances.”
Character's Brutal Demise
Arvind's death is particularly brutal, occurring after he uncovers Bharti's hidden relationship with Ravi (played by Pulkit Samrat). Vishal commented on the tragic end of his character, saying, “It feels unfair! The chances of Arvind returning for a second season are slim. However, his actions left no room for redemption. It was a matter of survival for either him or Bharti, which serves as a reminder that we all have dark impulses, but not all should be acted upon.”
On the career front, Vishal Vashishtha is currently engaged in new projects, though details remain under wraps. Glory, created by Karan Anshuman, also stars Suvinder Vicky, Sayani Gupta, Jannat Zubair, Yugam Sood, and others in pivotal roles.
