In response to these rumors, Smriti Irani stated, "It would be wise to verify PR content with the authorities holding IP rights. I am not involved in any other show apart from Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. No spin-off has been legally authorized for my participation, which includes the use of my image or personality. Please ensure viewers are not misled."
