Pawan Kalyan's Ustaad Bhagat Singh Set for April OTT Release on Netflix
Ustaad Bhagat Singh's Journey to OTT
Ustaad Bhagat Singh, featuring Pawan Kalyan, is preparing for its debut on OTT platforms. Netflix has now announced that the film will start streaming on April 16.
Streaming Details for Ustaad Bhagat Singh
The film will be available on Netflix in multiple languages, including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada. This release marks a significant reunion for Pawan Kalyan and director Harish Shankar, who last collaborated on the blockbuster Gabbar Singh 16 years ago. Ustaad Bhagat Singh is notable as it is one of the first films released after Pawan Kalyan took on the role of Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Despite the film's lackluster box office performance, Harish Shankar addressed the online trolling it received, stating that he does not take such negativity to heart. He emphasized that many trolls hide behind anonymity and that he prefers to respond only when the comments cross a line, especially in cases of abusive language.
Plot Overview of Ustaad Bhagat Singh
The narrative follows Bhagat Singh, portrayed by Pawan Kalyan, a former police officer living a secluded life in the Nallamala forest. The plot thickens when a wealthy businessman arrives for a pre-wedding event with his family. Bhagat is assigned to ensure their safety, particularly that of the businessman's elder daughter, Shloka, played by Raashi Khanna.
As events unfold, the Chief Minister’s son visits the forest for a private gathering, only to be kidnapped by Bhagat. Instead of calling the police, the Chief Minister, played by R Parthiban, seeks assistance from a militant group in the area. The film delves into Bhagat’s motivations, his past, and the enigma surrounding the former Chief Minister, portrayed by K S Ravikumar. The music for the film is composed by Devi Sri Prasad, with Thaman S providing the background score.
