Trisha Krishnan Addresses Controversy Surrounding Thug Life

Trisha Krishnan has recently spoken out about the increasing discussions regarding her intimate scenes with renowned actor Kamal Haasan in their forthcoming film, Thug Life. The trailer showcases several intimate interactions, including a kiss, which has generated considerable buzz on social media, particularly due to the notable 30-year age difference between the two actors.

Additionally, she has faced backlash for her song 'Sugar Daddy' in Thug Life, where online users have criticized her for dancing to a song with a title deemed inappropriate, especially considering she is in her 40s.

During the film's pre-release event in Mumbai, Trisha addressed the backlash, recalling her initial excitement about the project even before she officially joined the cast. She remarked, 'I realized the magic of this film when it was announced, even before I signed on. I knew it was something special.'

Instead of directly confronting the controversy, Trisha highlighted the remarkable chemistry between director Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan, describing their collaboration as 'pure magic.'

She elaborated, 'As I mentioned earlier, witnessing their synergy was incredible. Kamal sir has often said they communicate through their eyes. Their connection was seamless, and it was a joy to observe. As actors, we felt the pressure to match their energy and not just watch in awe. It truly was magic.'

Thug Life, directed by Mani Ratnam, is a gangster action drama co-written with Kamal Haasan. The film is produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, Madras Talkies, and Red Giant Movies, featuring a cast that includes Haasan, Silambarasan, Trisha Krishnan, Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, and Rohit Saraf. It is scheduled for release on June 5.

On her professional front, Trisha was last seen in Vidaamuyarchi and Good Bad Ugly, both alongside Ajith Kumar. She is also set to appear in the upcoming Telugu fantasy film Vishwambhara, featuring Chiranjeevi.
