Actress Revathy expressed her gratitude, stating that Bharathiraja was instrumental in launching her acting career, while Khushboo Sundar lamented the loss as a significant blow to Tamil cinema. Andhra Pradesh's Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan praised Bharathiraja as a trailblazer in rural storytelling across various languages.
