Punjabi Singer Rajvir Jawanda Dies Following Accident
Chandigarh: The Punjabi entertainment industry mourns the loss of actor and singer Rajvir Jawanda, who passed away on Wednesday, just over a week after suffering severe injuries in a motorcycle accident.
At 10:55 AM on Wednesday, hospital officials confirmed his death. The 35-year-old had been on life support at Fortis Hospital in Mohali since being admitted in critical condition.
Jawanda was involved in a serious accident on September 27 while traveling to Shimla through Solan district in Himachal Pradesh, where he sustained significant head and spinal injuries.
He also experienced a cardiac arrest prior to his transfer to the hospital.
Originating from Pona village in Jagraon, Ludhiana, Jawanda gained popularity with his hit song 'Kali Jawande Di'.
His musical repertoire includes popular tracks such as 'Tu dis penda', 'Khush reha kar', 'Sardari', 'Surname', 'Afreen', 'Landlord', 'Down to earth', and 'Kangani'.
In addition to his music career, he appeared in the Punjabi films Subedar Joginder Singh (2018), Jind Jaan (2019), and Mindo Taseeldarni (2019).
