A Shocking Incident in Amritsar

The Punjabi entertainment scene is in mourning following the tragic death of renowned makeup artist and social media influencer Mad Sandhu, who was fatally shot in Amritsar on Saturday evening. The incident took place on Loharka Road around 6:00 PM, prompting an urgent police investigation.

Reports indicate that the victim, whose full name was Madhusudan, was waiting for his vehicle outside a car wash when two unidentified men on a motorcycle approached him. The attackers reportedly fired several shots at close range before escaping the scene. Despite being quickly transported to a private hospital for urgent care, Sandhu unfortunately succumbed to his injuries shortly after arrival.

Local authorities have filed a First Information Report (FIR) regarding the murder. Prabhjot Singh Virk, the Deputy Commissioner of Police for the Amritsar Commissionerate, confirmed that the investigation is still in its initial phases. Police have begun gathering statements from Sandhu's family and are actively pursuing various leads to apprehend the suspects.

Mad Sandhu was a prominent figure in the local glamour industry, boasting a following of around 240,000 on Instagram. In addition to his makeup artistry, he was the founder of Mane Lane Unisex Salon in Amritsar. His career began with styling and costume design, and he often used his platform to address issues related to pop culture and LGBTQ+ rights. He also made a cameo in the Punjabi film Oye Bhole Oye.

In a poignant turn of events, a video of Sandhu dancing to G Khan’s song Mahi Milade was shared on his social media just an hour before the tragic incident. As the investigation unfolds, concerns have arisen regarding the safety of other social media influencers in the area, with reports indicating that influencer Arupreet Kaur has made her accounts private after receiving threats.
