Following the incident, Leena Gangopadhyay resigned from her position as Chairperson of the West Bengal State Commission for Women, ahead of her term's conclusion in July.
The grievances presented by AICWA have been forwarded to the Superintendent of Police in Balasore for further investigation. On the day of the incident, Rahul was reportedly engaged in filming a dance sequence in shallow water alongside Sweta Mishra when they unexpectedly fell into a ditch. According to statements from the production team, he was initially taken to a nearby clinic, but due to the lack of medical personnel, he was subsequently transported to Digha State General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
