There has been considerable speculation about whether Tovino Thomas will appear in Yash's forthcoming film, Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grownups, particularly in a villainous role. These rumors intensified after earlier reports hinted at his participation. However, Tovino recently set the record straight in an interview, confirming he is not involved in the project. Directed by Geethu Mohandas, Toxic is highly anticipated and boasts a stellar cast.

In a discussion with journalist Baradwaj Rangan, Tovino Thomas addressed the persistent rumors surrounding his connection to Toxic. He firmly stated that he is not part of the film and will not portray the antagonist. Although he typically refrains from discussing film details, he felt it necessary to clarify his non-involvement in this instance. Despite the buzz, he categorically denied any role in the film's narrative.
Earlier in 2024, there were claims that Tovino Thomas would be facing off against Yash in Toxic, which heightened excitement among fans as it would have marked Tovino's debut in Kannada cinema. However, his recent comments have dispelled those rumors, confirming that no collaboration exists for this film, despite ongoing fan theories and discussions online.

In a recent interview, Yash shared insights about the film, noting that it has been filmed in English for the first time in his career. He described the concept as intricate and not merely a standard gangster action film. While it may seem like a typical action movie at first glance, it delves into profound psychological themes and relatable aspects of human existence. Yash emphasized that the film presents a dark character in an innovative manner, distinguishing it from conventional genre films.
Discussing his collaboration with director Geetu Mohandas, Yash expressed that the experience was both thrilling and rewarding. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grownups is helmed by Geethu Mohandas and produced by Yash’s Monster Mind Creations in partnership with KVN Productions. The film features a prominent ensemble cast, including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria. Initially scheduled for a March 19 release, the film's global premiere has been postponed to June 4 due to international geopolitical tensions.
Meanwhile, Tovino Thomas was recently featured in Pallichattambi, which debuted during the Vishu festive season on April 15, 2026. The film received a modest response at the box office, earning Rs 8.20 crore worldwide on its opening day.
