Toni Storm Reflects on AEW Revolution Match: A Disappointing Experience
Toni Storm's Rise in AEW

In recent years, Toni Storm has significantly elevated her profile while competing in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Following a challenging stint with WWE, she experienced a revival in her career, becoming a multi-time women's champion in AEW. Her connection to Hollywood, along with her 'Timeless' persona, has further enhanced her status as a celebrity.
Toni Storm's Discontent with AEW Revolution Match
Despite her dominance in the AEW women's division, Toni Storm has expressed that not every moment of her ascent has been enjoyable. The current AEW Women’s World Champion recently revealed her dissatisfaction with one particular match—the title defense against Mariah May at AEW Revolution 2025.
In a conversation with Denise Salcedo from Instinct Culture, Storm was prompted to share her favorite moments since joining AEW. However, she maintained her 'Timeless' character and refrained from naming any specific highlights.
“I don’t have a favorite. There have been so many scenes. So many films. So many moments. I couldn’t possibly pick one.”
A Match to Forget
When Salcedo suggested that the Hollywood Ending match at AEW Revolution might be a highlight, Storm surprised many by expressing her dislike for it. She candidly stated her feelings about the match, saying, “I’m glad someone enjoyed it. I didn’t. Horrible ordeal. I’m glad it’s amusement for someone.”
After returning to AEW during the Winter is Coming 2024 event, Storm reclaimed the Women’s Title from Mariah May at AEW Grand Slam in February. The Hollywood Ending match marked the conclusion of her rivalry with May, which began in the summer of 2024 and became one of the most compelling storylines in AEW history. This bout also served as May's final appearance in AEW before she transitioned to WWE, where she now competes as Blake Monroe.
Future Prospects for Toni Storm
As Toni Storm continues her journey in AEW, fans are eager to see what lies ahead for the talented champion.
