What has caught the attention of box office analysts is its remarkable international success, with $288 million earned from 51 different territories.

The international earnings breakdown reveals $28 million from the UK, another $28 million from Italy—where parts of the film were filmed—$22 million from Brazil, and $20 million from Mexico. The original film concluded its run with $326 million. Experts anticipate that the sequel will ultimately gross between $650 million and $750 million before leaving theaters later this year. Disney has also made history as the first Hollywood studio to surpass $2 billion in global ticket sales in 2026.

Cast Salaries for The Devil Wears Prada 2

The lead actresses in the sequel are set to receive substantial bonuses due to the film's unexpected box office success. Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, and Emily Blunt each earned $12.5 million as part of a 'favoured nations' agreement, which could rise to $20 million after bonuses once the film's run concludes. Streep emphasized during negotiations that she and her co-stars should receive equal pay.

The production cost for The Devil Wears Prada 2 was $100 million, primarily allocated to cast salaries. It took two decades for the cast and crew to reunite for this sequel, as they were committed to finding the right story.
