Matthew Rhys made history by winning two Emmy Awards for lead roles in different categories within the same year. He took home the award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his role in The Beast in Me (Season 2) and followed it up with a win for his performance in the comedy series Widow’s Bay. Jean Smart continued her impressive legacy by winning her fifth Primetime Emmy for her role as a determined comedian in Hacks, making her the only actress to secure the Best Comedy Actress award for every season of a single show.
