Set to premiere on May 14, 'Karuppu' has already generated significant buzz among audiences, with strong advance bookings indicating a promising opening weekend. Directed by RJ Balaji, the film has seen a surge in ticket sales, reflecting its popularity even before its release.
Vijay, who took office as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on May 10, has made a gesture that the 'Karuppu' team greatly appreciates. He has authorized special 9 AM screenings due to the film's impressive advance ticket sales.

As reported by trade analyst Jerin Georgekutty, 'Karuppu' achieved over Rs 1.90 crore in Tamil Nadu within just 36 hours of opening its advance booking window. His update on X (formerly Twitter) indicated that the film's total all-India real-time booking gross reached around Rs 2.34 crore by 7:49 AM on Tuesday, prompting the addition of morning shows.
