Thalapathy Vijay Arrives in Delhi for CBI Questioning
On Saturday, March 14, actor and political figure Thalapathy Vijay departed from his residence in Chennai, heading to Delhi for questioning by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) regarding the tragic stampede incident in Karur. Footage of Vijay arriving at a hotel in the capital city quickly circulated online. The following day, the star of GOAT greeted fans as he left the CBI headquarters.
This marks the third round of questioning related to the unfortunate stampede that occurred during Vijay's political rally last year, which resulted in the deaths of 41 individuals and injuries to over 60 others. The incident sparked significant public outrage and demands for accountability.

Thalapathy Vijay requested 15-day extension
Earlier this month, the CBI had summoned Vijay to appear for questioning on March 10. However, he requested additional time before attending. Reports indicate that Vijay initially sought a 15-day extension, which was denied by the agency. Eventually, the CBI granted him a shorter extension of five days to comply with the investigation.
Now in Delhi, Vijay is cooperating with the inquiry. Recently, he also shared insights about his future, emphasizing that politics has become his primary focus.

In addition to the ongoing investigation, there are new developments regarding his upcoming film Jana Nayagan. Reports suggest that the film's OTT distribution deal has been canceled amid the controversies surrounding the actor. A prominent streaming platform had previously acquired the digital rights for approximately Rs 120 crore, but that agreement has now been reportedly terminated. Consequently, the plans for the OTT release of Vijay's final film, Jana Nayagan, are now uncertain.
Directed by H Vinoth, Jana Nayagan is set to be Vijay's last film before he fully transitions into his political career. This political action thriller was initially slated for a theatrical release on January 9, but delays in obtaining clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification have postponed its debut.
