Chennai, May 4: In a remarkable turn of events, Telugu actors Nani, Sharwanand, and Sai Dharam Tej were among many who extended their congratulations to actor-turned-politician Vijay, whose party, the Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), is making significant strides in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections of 2026.
As of the latest updates, Vijay's TVK is leading in 110 out of 234 constituencies across the state.
With Vijay poised to become the next Chief Minister, actor Nani took to his X account to express his congratulations. He stated, "Congratulations @actorvijay sir. Initially doubted, now crowned. This victory is happening at our home and now in our neighboring home. The underdog winning is always pure cinema (or should I say pure politics?) :) Wishing great things for the people of Tamil Nadu who have made their choice clear."
Similarly, Sai Dharam Tej praised Vijay for his party's impressive victory in the Tamil Nadu elections. He remarked, "Whistle Podu..! @actorvijay na, this is a groundbreaking win that reflects your dedication and remarkable efforts... There’s a unique thrill when an actor, or should I say a demigod, proves the skeptics wrong through public affection! This has been a trend, especially in South India."
He further added, "The citizens of Tamil Nadu have voiced their opinions in large numbers. I hope you bring about the change everyone is anticipating. Heartfelt congratulations on this landslide victory. Great things are on the horizon for you. @TVKVijayHQ #TVK."
Actor Sharwanand also congratulated Vijay on his impressive electoral success. He shared his heartfelt wishes on his X account, stating, "I’ve mentioned before, some journeys are destined for greatness. Congratulations to @actorvijay sir on this pivotal moment. Transitioning from cinema to leadership, you’ve gained the trust of millions. Wishing you strength and purpose in the journey ahead."
