Actors Karan Kundrra and Asha Negi have publicly expressed their concerns following the police's response to students protesting the NEET 2026 examination irregularities in Delhi. The protests escalated into violence when law enforcement deployed tear gas and baton charges to disperse demonstrators who were trying to march towards Parliament. Karan raised questions about the justification for the police's actions, emphasizing that education should not be influenced by political motives. Asha, on her part, shared a poignant message, labeling the day as a "black day" and standing in solidarity with the students while denouncing the force used against peaceful protesters.

Asha Negi took to Instagram to express her dismay over the police's actions during the protests, describing it as a "black day" for the nation. She noted that while no government is flawless, it was particularly troubling to see young students, who should be in school, forced into the streets only to face violence. She shared her distress over receiving threatening messages for her stance, highlighting the challenges faced by women protesters. Asha concluded her message by commending the resilience of the students, especially Gen Z, for standing firm in the face of adversity.

Karan Kundrra also showed his support for the students through an Instagram post, questioning the rationale behind the police's use of force. He stated, "Today, students faced violence, and for what reason? Accountability? This shouldn't have happened... it's truly disheartening!" He called on authorities to ensure that education remains free from political interference, urging, "Support the students, the youth! Provide them with a clear, non-politicized path to education," while criticizing those he believed were exploiting the situation for political gain, stressing that children's futures should transcend party politics.
