Tanya Mittal Addresses Pranit More's Controversy

Former contestant of Bigg Boss 19, Tanya Mittal, has shared her perspective on the backlash comedian Pranit More has faced after his controversial comment about "Rs 370 ki biryani" during a stand-up act. Although Tanya admitted she was never a fan of Pranit's behavior on the reality show, she believes the criticism directed at him has become excessive. In her candid remarks, she pointed out that while accountability is important, relentless trolling can harm not just the individual but also their loved ones.

Tanya's Discontent with Pranit's Behavior

In a recent episode of The Super Womaniya Show on YouTube, Tanya clarified that she is not defending Pranit's actions, having had her own disagreements with him in the past. "I don't like Pranit because he has not been kind to me," she stated. She expressed discomfort with his informal interactions with others and revealed that she never participated in his 'Pranit More Show' while in the house.

Despite her personal grievances, Tanya expressed compassion for Pranit amid the severe backlash he is currently facing. She acknowledged that while it's fair to criticize mistakes, the situation has escalated unreasonably. "I feel bad for Pranit. An error occurred, FIRs were filed against him, and he has been subjected to public scrutiny. But we must remember that everyone has a family," she remarked.

Call for an End to Social Media Trolling

Tanya further urged social media users to recognize when to stop their actions. She emphasized that everyone makes mistakes and should be given the opportunity to acknowledge and learn from them. "What he did was wrong, but mistakes happen. He made one and he has apologized for it," she stated. The Bigg Boss 19 contestant insisted that criticism should not morph into harassment. According to her, social media can become toxic when users continue to target someone long after the issue has been addressed. She called for empathy and encouraged people to consider how they would feel in a similar situation.

Reflecting on her own experiences with public scrutiny, Tanya noted how quickly social media can turn against an individual. She acknowledged that public figures often endure harsh criticism, and even a minor misstep can lead to significant backlash online. "Today I am discussing someone else's controversy. Tomorrow I could make a mistake too, and social media would not spare me either," she commented. Tanya urged people to differentiate between constructive criticism and abusive trolling, emphasizing that online harassment should not reach a level where it disrupts the peace of their families.

For context, the controversy erupted when an audience member claimed he had spent Rs 370 on a girl's biryani and sought to 'recover it from her,' implying inappropriate favors. Pranit was seen laughing and encouraging the man throughout the viral clip.
