This assistance was facilitated by Rajmohan Arumugam, the Tamil Nadu Minister for School Education and Film Technology, who stepped in to support the actor. Rajmohan, associated with the office of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay, has arranged for Lakshmanan's stay at the Omandurar Government Estate. Reports indicate that plans are in motion to secure permanent housing for him within the next six months.

Before his acting career, he worked as a production manager on various films directed by Vikraman, contributing to over 40 projects produced by Super Good Films.
In a recent interview, Lakshmanan opened up about his difficulties following health issues that limited his work. He revealed that complications from long-term diabetes led to surgery and the amputation of three toes, which hindered his ability to accept regular acting roles. With rising medical costs and a dwindling income, he expressed his struggle to afford treatment and basic living expenses. His heartfelt comments, including a reference to the late Vijayakanth, resonated widely, prompting an appeal for financial help from Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay. In light of this, Minister Rajmohan arranged for Lakshmanan's accommodation, and the actor has been residing there for the past two days, expressing his gratitude for the minister's promise of further medical support.
