What does a birthday signify for you at this stage of your life?
Currently, it’s about cherishing moments with my family. I've never been fond of extravagant birthday celebrations. This year, I was filming in New Zealand on the 14th, so I had a late flight on the 13th. It was a pleasant day spent at home with dinner. Next week, I’ll be in Dubai for shooting, where Daniel has planned some enjoyable activities.
Do your children show more enthusiasm for your birthday than you do?
My children certainly enjoy birthdays, primarily because of the cake!
How would you characterize the peak and the trough of your life thus far?
The pinnacle of my life is undoubtedly my wonderful family. I consider myself to be living my best life. Conversely, the low point was losing my parents before I could share these beautiful moments with my husband and kids, who will never know them.
In a world where many marriages are failing, what keeps yours strong?
Are many marriages failing? I haven’t really noticed (laughs). I exist in a bubble filled with family and work, which I cherish. I don’t pay attention to the marital issues of others. For Daniel and me, the cornerstone of our relationship is communication. Amidst our busy lives with three children, we prioritize time for each other, focusing on the little romantic gestures.
Can you give examples of those gestures?
Just last week, we attended a pottery class together in the evening, allowing us to unwind and express our creativity. Simply sitting on the couch and watching TV doesn’t count as quality time; it’s more about being physically close yet emotionally distant. We strive to carve out moments for ourselves, even if it’s just enjoying a glass of wine and having a meaningful conversation.
What are your aspirations for the upcoming year?
My goals include expanding our businesses, continuing to shoot, and managing multiple responsibilities while pursuing our passions!
