After the remarkable success of 'Gadar 2', Sunny Deol is gearing up to make his mark on OTT platforms with the courtroom drama titled 'Ikka'. In this film, he will share the screen with Akshaye Khanna. During the trailer launch event for 'Ikka', Sunny Deol disclosed that he has been contemplating a sequel to one of his blockbuster films from 36 years ago.

At the trailer launch of 'Ikka' on Monday, Sunny revealed that there were talks about creating a sequel to his well-known courtroom drama 'Damini', but the project never came to fruition. While speaking to the press, he mentioned that although he typically refrains from praising his own work, courtroom dramas hold a special place in his heart. Reflecting on the unrealized sequel, he expressed, "I didn't get the chance after 'Damini', so when this new project came my way, I was thrilled."

He continued, "I enjoy acting and portraying such roles, even if I'm uncertain about how far those characters will evolve. The journey of the character is truly beautiful, and it brings me immense joy."
Choosing 'Ikka'

When discussing his choice to participate in 'Ikka', Sunny Deol stated, "When Siddharth (the director) presented the story of 'Ikka' to me, I was genuinely impressed. You can never predict when or which film will come to life; the industry is always evolving. Then, Netflix showed interest in producing the film, and I was on board."
About 'Ikka'
Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, 'Ikka' features Sunny Deol reprising his role as a lawyer. The trailer depicts him engaged in a significant courtroom battle to defend Akshaye Khanna's character, reminiscent of his legendary role in 'Damini'. The film also stars Dia Mirza, Tillotama Shome, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Shishir Sharma, and Akansha Ranjan in key roles.
