Nitesh Tiwari's ambitious project, Ramayana, is set to be a two-part series. The promotional activities for the first part are about to kick off, while the second part is currently under production. A special event held in Delhi today (July 18) featured the unveiling of the trailer, attended by the film's cast and crew. Notably, Sunny Deol, who portrays Hanuman, made an appearance despite his busy schedule. Speaking to the media and various dignitaries, Deol expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating he has much more to accomplish and is optimistic that audiences will enjoy seeing Hanuman on the big screen.

During the Pratham Sankalp event, Sunny remarked, “I have only begun working on this film. There is still a long journey ahead. Ramayana is incredibly significant for us Indians. I am grateful to Wahe Guru ji for the opportunity to portray Hanumanji. I will strive to fulfill this role with sincerity, as it is a considerable responsibility. It will also be a lot of fun. Hanumanji is playful, innocent, and powerful, and he is a devotee of Ramji. We seek your blessings. Namit Malhotra has taken on a monumental project, and I am confident that every Indian will go to see Ramayana.”

About Ramayana
The ensemble cast of Ramayana features Ranbir Kapoor as Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita, with Yash taking on the role of Ravana. Ravi Dubey will portray Lakshman, while Lara Dutta plays Kaikeyi. Rakul Preet Singh has been cast as Surpanakha, and Kajal Aggarwal will depict Mandodari. Arun Govil is set to play King Dashrath, Vivek Oberoi will take on the role of Vidyutjihva, Kunal Kapoor is Lord Indra, and Addinath Kothare will portray Bharat. The official trailer for Ramayana is scheduled to be launched at the San Diego Comic-Con 2026 on July 24.
