Sunita Ahuja Opens Up About Her Reality Show Journey in Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa
Sunita Ahuja's New Reality Show Adventure
Sunita Ahuja, spouse of Bollywood star Govinda, recently appeared on the show Maa Hai Na, hosted by Shilpa Shetty. Following that experience alongside her daughter, Tina Ahuja, Sunita has embraced a new challenge by joining Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, which premiered on Netflix today (June 27). Before stepping into the reality show, she had an exclusive chat with Zoom, where she shared her thoughts on authenticity and what she refuses to fake for the cameras. Sunita also discussed whether she plans to stay true to herself or adopt a more reserved approach on the show hosted by Riteish Deshmukh and Farah Khan.
Insights from Sunita Ahuja's Interview:
Q1 - Viewers have seen your unfiltered side in interviews. Will Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa showcase that honesty, or will you tone it down?
Answer: I cannot change who I am. I will be myself in Lock Upp, and viewers will see the real me.
Q2 - You are known for your candidness. Do you think your honesty will be your greatest asset or a potential drawback in the competition?
Answer: Agar sach bolna galat baat hai, toh main galat baat maanne ko taiyaar hu. But main kabhi jhooth nahi bolungi. Speaking the truth is my strength.(Loose translation: If telling the truth is wrong, then I am ready to be wrong. But I will never lie.)
Q3 - Who do you anticipate will be your toughest rival on the show?
Answer: Let's wait and see! I will give my best effort since I have never participated in reality shows before. Once I meet the contestants, I will understand who my competitors are.
Q4 - If you could bring someone along on this journey, who would you choose?
Answer: I would select someone who shares my values – honest and sach bolne wale (truthful).
Q5 - What is one thing you absolutely refuse to fake for the cameras, regardless of the show's demands?
Answer: I will not speak negatively about my family for the camera. Family ka bohot tamasha hogaya. This is Lock Upp, not a family show. I don’t want anyone discussing my husband or children. Jo khel khelna hai khelo but family ke bal bute pe na khelo. I cherish my family. Jo bhi hai accha time aata hai, bura time aata hai, uske baad phir accha time aata hai.
(Loose translation: I will not say anything against my family for the camera. There has been a lot of drama involving my family. But this is Lock Upp, not a family show. I wouldn’t want anyone to speak about my husband and kids. Play whatever game you want, but don’t play it at the expense of your family. I have a happy family. Good times come, bad times come, and then good times return.)
