Unexpected Exit from Hera Pheri 3
Fans of the beloved Hera Pheri franchise were thrilled to see the original cast, including Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, and Suniel Shetty, back together. However, excitement turned to disappointment when Paresh Rawal announced his unexpected departure from Hera Pheri 3. Suniel Shetty, who portrays Shyam in the series, expressed his disbelief over Rawal's exit, stating that the film cannot proceed without him.
In response to the news, Shetty remarked, "It cannot happen. 100 percent cannot happen without Paresh Rawal." He further emphasized, "There’s a 1 percent chance without me and Akshay, but it absolutely cannot happen without Paresh ji. Raju and Shyam need Babu for the film to work."
Shetty conveyed his shock during an interview, saying, "And I was here doing my interviews, and I felt like ‘holy s***’."
Reports indicate that Akshay Kumar is considering legal action against Paresh Rawal for the disruption caused by his sudden exit from the film. Kumar's production company, Cape Of Good Films, has allegedly issued a legal notice to Rawal, seeking 25 crores in damages for what they describe as unprofessional behavior after he had signed a contract and commenced filming. Akshay Kumar is the producer of Hera Pheri 3 and acquired the rights from Feroz Nadiadwala.
A source mentioned, "Paresh displayed a blatant disregard for professional integrity or commercial morality. If he wished to withdraw from the film, he should have communicated that before signing the contract and accepting the signing amount, which led to significant expenses for the producer."
The source also noted, "It is crucial for Bollywood actors to understand that, similar to Hollywood, producers will no longer tolerate actors who come and go from projects at their convenience."
There were rumors suggesting that Rawal's departure was due to creative disagreements with director Priyadarshan. However, Rawal clarified on social media, stating, "I wish to put it on record that my decision to step away from Hera Pheri 3 was not due to creative differences. I REITERATE THAT THERE ARE NO CREATIVE DISAGREEMENTS WITH THE FILM MAKER. I hold immense love, respect, and faith in Mr. Priyadarshan, the film director."
