Sporting Royalty to Attend

Simone Biles, a Laureus Ambassador and the most decorated gymnast in history with five Laureus Statuettes, is set to be a special guest at the gala event scheduled for April 20 at the Cibeles Palace, as per a recent press release.


She will be joined by notable football figures, including Xavi Hernandez, who has played over 1,000 professional matches primarily for FC Barcelona and was part of Spain's World Cup-winning team in 2010, and Fabio Capello, a Laureus Ambassador known for coaching prestigious clubs like AC Milan and Real Madrid, as well as national teams from England and Russia.


More Stars Confirmed for Gala Event

Other prominent athletes attending include Garbine Muguruza, Spain's former world No. 1 tennis player and Laureus Ambassador, who has triumphed at both the French Open and Wimbledon.


Jasmine Paolini, who secured a gold medal in doubles at the 2024 Paris Olympics and won the French Open in 2025, will also be present. She was a singles finalist at both Wimbledon and the French Open in 2024 and led Italy to victory in the Billie Jean King Cup in 2024 and 2025.


Amanda Anisimova, who reached the finals at Wimbledon and the US Open in 2025, achieved a world No. 3 ranking in January 2026 and has claimed four WTA Tour titles.


Bebe Vio, an Italian Paralympic fencer and Laureus Disability Award winner in 2017, and Simone Barlaam, an Italian Paralympic swimmer with multiple World and European championships, including four gold medals at the 2025 World Championship in Singapore, will also attend.


Yuvraj Singh, a Laureus Ambassador and former all-rounder for the Indian cricket team, played 40 Tests and 304 One-Day Internationals.


Bianca Bustamente, a 21-year-old racing driver from the Philippines, is competing in the Eurocup-3 series.
