Tamannaah Bhatia reveals why she didn't get success like Prabhas with Baahubali

SS Rajamouli's directorial Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali: The Conclusion changed the dynamics of Indian cinema. The Telugu movie became the biggest box office hit and gained international recognition. The film became the starting point for the development of South cinema and also attracted the stardom of actors, especially Prabhas and Rana Daggubati, to the project.

Baahubali also starred Tamannaah Bhatia, Anushka Shetty and Ramya Krishnan in lead roles. In a recent interview with Film Companion, the actress revealed how she couldn't handle the mega-success of Baahubali like her male counterparts. The F3 actress cited that action films are still given to male actors.

The actress was quoted as saying, "I feel like in action films, Yash is always given to the male counterparts." However, she feels that it is fair that Prabhas and Rana Daggubati get this kind of attention. Fair enough. What the film did for Prabhas and Rana Daggubati is different from what it did for me, because the part I had was the same," she said. She further added that she is not in the right frame of mind to get full success from Baahubali. But she is grateful for all the love and feedback she has received for her role in the blockbuster film.

Coming to her upcoming projects, Tamannaah Bhatia is awaiting the release of her next film Jailer with Rajinikanth. The film is slated to release on August 11, 2023. The film also stars Mohanlal, Jackie Shroff, Shivarajkumar and others. He is also busy shooting for his Telugu film Bhola Shankar opposite Chiranjeevi and Keerthy Suresh. The film is releasing on the same date as Jailer.

The actress is also playing the female lead in Dileep's Malayalam film Bandra. Directed by Arun Gopi, Tamannaah will be seen in a princess-like role and her character will converse in Malayalam and Hindi.
