Hyderabad, April 30: The team behind the action-packed drama 'Bhogi', directed by Sampath Nandi, has unveiled the first look of actress Anupama Parameswaran as Kandula Sulochana Rani, much to the excitement of fans.
The newly released poster features Anupama portraying a village girl, walking barefoot along a dusty rural path. She carries a large woven basket filled with green leaves on her head, while holding additional leaves in one hand and a tiffin box in the other. Dressed in a traditional half saree with a faded blouse, her rustic look is complemented by an intense expression that suggests a strong and hardworking character. The background depicts an authentic village scene with mud huts, wooden fences, and livestock.
According to sources, Sulochana is characterized as a spirited individual deeply connected to nature. She earns her living by crafting leaf plates from Moduga leaves, embodying resilience and quiet strength, aptly nicknamed the “Flame of the Forest.”
Previously, on actor Sharwanand's birthday, it was announced that he portrays a character named Ganga in this highly anticipated action thriller.
After completing significant portions of filming in various locations, including Rajamahendravaram and the forests of Rampachodavaram and Maredumilli, the 'Bhogi' team is gearing up for the next major shooting schedule, which will begin in Hyderabad in the first week of May.
Alongside Anupama, Dimple Hayathi also stars in a leading role. Set in the early 1960s, 'Bhogi' is an engaging period action drama that unfolds in a fictional village straddling the borders of Telangana and Maharashtra.
The film boasts a talented technical crew, with production design by Kiran Kumar Manne, cinematography by Kishore Kumar Arokia, and music composed by Bheems Ceciroleo.
Scheduled for a pan-India release, 'Bhogi' will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi on August 28, coinciding with the festive celebration of Raksha Bandhan.
