Hollywood actress Sophie Turner has sustained a minor injury, prompting a temporary halt in the filming of the much-anticipated series Tomb Raider, created by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. A studio representative stated, “Sophie Turner recently experienced a minor injury. As a precaution, production has briefly paused to allow her time to recover. We look forward to resuming production as soon as possible.” It remains uncertain if the injury occurred during filming. Reports suggest that the break is expected to last around two weeks, with crew members receiving pay during this period.

Amazon MGM Studios, responsible for producing Tomb Raider for Prime Video in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics, announced the commencement of production on January 15, unveiling a first-look image of Turner portraying Lara Croft. The series is primarily being filmed in the UK. Tomb Raider is based on the acclaimed video game franchise that follows the adventures of archaeologist Lara Croft.
