Actress Sonali Bendre and her spouse, Goldie Behl, are reportedly embroiled in a legal controversy concerning a land transaction involving around 30 gunthas in Maval tehsil, Pune. A local farmer, Chandrakant Shinde, has accused the couple of unlawfully obtaining rights to his ancestral land. Shinde asserts that his family has held rights to this land since 1957, and claims that the acquisition by Behl was executed without regard for these rights. In response, both Bendre and her legal team have refuted these claims.

As reported by a media outlet, Sonali Bendre has firmly denied the accusations made by the Pune farmer. She stated that her name is not listed in any official documents related to the land sale. Bendre described the allegations as unfounded, suggesting they were made with the intent to extort money. Meanwhile, Shinde has initiated legal proceedings in the Civil Court of Vadgaon Maval, asserting that his family possesses legal rights to the 30-guntha plot, which is roughly 32,000 square feet, located in Uksan prior to 1957. He also claimed that there were attempts to conduct unauthorized construction on the property and that his family faced threats.
Legal Proceedings and Next Steps
Chandrakant Shinde has also lodged a formal complaint with the police; however, as this is a civil issue, the matter has been taken to court. The farmer is seeking a stay order on the land in question. Sonali Bendre’s attorney, Raju Shinde, noted that the farmer had previously made several appeals to government bodies, including the Tehsildar and the Sub Divisional Officer (SDO), all of which were dismissed by the courts. The farmer has implicated two additional individuals in this case. The next court hearing is scheduled for April 20. Bendre has reiterated that the farmer's accusations are without merit.
