Sohail Khan and his former spouse Seema Sajdeh made a surprise appearance as wild-card entrants on the Kunal Kemmu-hosted reality show, Alliance. Prior to their entry, Seema disclosed that Sohail had advised her to stand her ground against any bullying on the Amazon Prime Video series. In a recent episode, Sohail opened up about his family life, particularly the story behind naming their son, Nirvaan Khan. He mentioned that he initially wanted to name his firstborn 'Ram Khan', but ultimately, the name Nirvaan was chosen.

During the show, fellow contestant Aly Goni complimented Sohail and Seema's children, Nirvaan and Yohan, praising their good manners. He remarked that Nirvaan resembles his father. This prompted Sohail to reminisce about the naming process of his elder son. He shared, "When Seema was expecting Nirvaan, we humorously agreed that I would pick a name if it was a boy, while Seema would choose if it was a girl. I had my heart set on Ram Khan, reflecting our secular values." However, Seema had a different name in mind.

After Nirvaan's birth, Seema suggested the name Nirvaan. Sohail recounted, "The doctor confirmed it was a boy, and when I entered the room, Seema, still a bit drowsy, asked, 'How's Nirvaan doing?' Her tone made it feel right, and I didn't want to change it."

Sohail and Seema tied the knot in 1998, welcoming their first son, Nirvaan, in 2000, followed by their second son, Yohan, eleven years later. After 24 years of marriage, they decided to part ways in 2022. Since then, Seema has been dating businessman Vikram Ahuja.
