Major Drug Trafficking Incident Involving SKIMS Products

Kim Kardashian's shapewear line, SKIMS, is currently facing backlash following a serious drug trafficking case tied to a delivery truck carrying its merchandise. The National Crime Agency in the U.K. has reported that a Polish truck driver received a sentence exceeding 13 years for attempting to smuggle cocaine worth around 7.2 million euros (approximately $8.4 million). The truck was intercepted at the Port of Harwich in Essex on September 5, 2025, prompting a thorough investigation into the smuggling ring.

During the inspection of the vehicle, Border Force officers found 90 packages of cocaine hidden in a compartment within the truck's rear doors. Each package weighed roughly two pounds, and the discovery was facilitated by X-ray scanning technology that detected anomalies in the truck's structure. Additionally, tracking data revealed a suspicious 16-minute stop that the driver did not disclose during questioning, which is suspected to have been the time used to load the illegal cargo.

In response to these events, SKIMS has made efforts to dissociate itself from the criminal activities linked to the delivery. A spokesperson for the brand released a statement to various media outlets, including USA Today and TMZ, clarifying that SKIMS was unaware of the smuggling operation. The statement stressed that the brand had no ties to the driver or the truck involved in the incident.

“SKIMS is aware of the recent news involving a shipment with our products. We want to be absolutely clear: SKIMS had no knowledge whatsoever about this criminal activity. We had no connection to the smuggling operation, the driver, or the truck,” the statement asserted, aiming to reassure customers and stakeholders about the brand's integrity.

This incident has sparked concerns regarding the potential repercussions for SKIMS, a brand that has seen considerable success since its inception. As the investigation progresses, attention remains on the legal actions against the driver and the broader implications of drug trafficking highlighted by this case. The brand's prompt response reflects its dedication to transparency and preserving its reputation within the fashion industry.
