Shresta Iyer's Departure from Lock Upp 2

Shresta Iyer has become the first contestant to be eliminated from Lock Upp 2, concluding her journey just a week after the reality series debuted on Netflix. Despite her exit, Shresta expressed contentment with her experience, stating in an exclusive interview that she felt relieved to leave the show, as she was not enjoying her time there. During the conversation, she also addressed the incident involving her fellow contestant, Shreya Kalra, who disclosed Akanksha Chamola's sexual orientation on the show. Shreya had revealed this personal information to Sufi Motiwala.

Shresta Iyer Discusses Shreya's Actions

In her interview, Shresta criticized Shreya for exposing Akanksha's bisexuality, explaining that it was inappropriate since Akanksha had not shared this information with her. Shresta noted, "Shreya overheard a private conversation between Ektaa Kapoor and Akanksha, which she was not part of, and then used that information against Akanksha in the game, even before it had officially begun. I believe that was wrong."

She further emphasized that Shreya compromised her integrity by making such a revelation. "If Akanksha had confided in her about being bisexual and Shreya used that against her, I would have understood it as part of the game. However, in this case, she lost her sense of humanity because this is a significant aspect of someone's personal life," Shresta remarked. She believes that it is ultimately up to individuals to decide when and how to share their personal stories.

Shresta also mentioned that Shreya initially did not see her actions as wrong, but later acknowledged her mistake by apologizing to Akanksha, which she interpreted as an admission of guilt. "If she truly believed she did nothing wrong, she wouldn't have felt the need to apologize," Shresta added.

Currently, Lock Upp 2 airs from Saturday to Thursday at 8 PM on the streaming platform. The show features a diverse cast, including Akanksha, Shreya, Ram Kapoor, Sunita Ahuja, Harshad Chopda, Shivangi Joshi, Varun Yadav, and others. Shilpa Shinde has been introduced as the first wild card contestant of this season.
