Shiv Thakare Reflects on His Relationships After Winning The 50

Following his triumph in the inaugural season of The 50, Shiv Thakare has shared insights about his camaraderie with fellow contestants Prince Narula and Rajat Dalal. In an exclusive interview, Shiv dismissed any rumors of rivalry, describing the two as “brothers” and highlighting their friendship throughout the competition. He emphasized that what viewers perceived as conflict was actually a strong bond between skilled players.

Are Prince Narula and Rajat Dalal Friends?

Prince and Rajat were seen as the main competitors on The 50, generating significant buzz around their rivalry. However, Shiv clarified that their relationship transcends competition. He stated, “Wo dono acche player hain. Wo dono mazaak kar rahe hain. Wo pyaar karte hain ek dusre se. Unka pyaar hai, wo aap dekhoge bhaiyon ki tarah baithenge,” which translates to: Both are good players who joke around and share genuine affection; their bond is such that you’ll see them sit together like brothers.

Shiv praised both contestants for their mature approach to the game, saying, “Dono samajhdaar hai, dono maturity se baithe poore show mein. Dono ne saath mein planning kiya, dono ne plotting kiya, masti ki,” meaning: Both are sensible and handled the show with maturity; they planned, plotted, and also had fun together.

He elaborated on why he refers to them as “players,” explaining, “Main isiliye player bol raha hoon… bahar jo maza laaya na wo. Jo maine Foxyy ke saath shanti reh ke kiya, unhone wo maze laaye.” He also made it clear that there was never any personal conflict, stating, “Rajat bhai ne mere ko kabhi kuch galat shabd nahi bola, na maine kuch bola. Maine kisi ko nahi bola.” (Translation: I call them players because of the entertainment they brought through fun gameplay, just like I did with Foxyy. Rajat never insulted me, and I have never insulted him or anyone else.)

Shiv Thakare Discusses His Connection with Prince

Shiv also touched upon the significant moment when Prince Narula handed him the ticket to the finale. He shared, “Show shuru hone se pehle hi decided tha ki Prince Narula, joh mere bhai jaise hai, finale mein nahi khelenge. Sab ka apna apna tarika hota hai.” (Translation: It was decided before the show began that Prince wouldn't be in the finale. Everyone has their own way.)

He emphasized that timing and performance were crucial to his success, stating, “Sahi waqt pe pohonchna bhi zaruri hai. Voh toh humara bhaichara hai. Bohot shows mein zubaan se bohot kuch bola jata hai, lekin action mein dikhe toh badi baat hai.” (Translation: My timing was right, and we had a brotherhood. A lot is promised on many shows, but to see it being fulfilled in action is a big deal.)
