In her video, she playfully asked, “Mom, what were you doing in the 90s?” showcasing clips from iconic Hindi films of that era, including Baazigar, Prithvi, and Insaaf. A standout moment featured Shah Rukh Khan's character in Baazigar dramatically throwing her off a rooftop.
In her post's caption, she remarked, “You didn’t see this coming… and won’t again. 90s nostalgia hits differently.”
Baazigar, which also starred Kajol, is loosely based on the American film A Kiss Before Dying. The plot revolves around a man seeking vengeance against a businessman who caused his family's ruin, employing cunning and calculated violence.
This film is particularly significant as it marked Shah Rukh Khan's early foray into a negative role, a rarity in mainstream Hindi cinema at the time. Its success at the box office played a crucial role in establishing SRK's career, and its soundtrack, crafted by Anu Malik, gained immense popularity. The film earned multiple accolades, including the Filmfare Award for Best Actor for Shah Rukh Khan.
Recently, Shilpa visited the revered Mahalaxmi temple in Kolhapur, Maharashtra, sharing a photo from her spiritual journey on social media. Dressed in a bright yellow saree, she was seen inside the temple, holding a beautifully adorned offering plate filled with flowers and smiling for the camera. She captioned the image with, ‘#kolhapurlaxmitemple #blessed.’
Earlier, she had welcomed Sai Baba's sacred Kafni and Paduka into her home, expressing her gratitude and calling it a moment of divine grace.
