A Special Siblings Day Tribute


Mumbai: On Siblings Day, actress Shilpa Shetty took to social media to share a collection of previously unseen photos featuring her sister Shamita, expressing that their bond is filled with 'equal parts love, madness, and memories.'


Shilpa posted a nostalgic video montage on Instagram, showcasing moments from their childhood to the present, with humorous text overlays such as: 'Normal pose vs whatever this is', 'Everyone stand according to height', 'When someone says - food is served', 'Us looking at bigger aspirations', and 'Kiss now, roast later.'


The video features the song 'Matargashti' by Mohit Chauhan from the 2015 film Tamasha, which starred Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.


In her caption, she wrote: 'Sisters: equal parts love, madness, and memories I wouldn’t trade for anything. #SiblingsDay.'






Shamita, Shilpa's younger sibling, made her acting debut in the romantic film Mohabbatein back in 2000. She has since appeared in various films such as Bewafaa, Zeher, and Cash.


Additionally, Shamita has participated in numerous reality shows, including Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi, and Bigg Boss.


As for Shilpa, her most recent appearance was in Sukhee, directed by Sonal Joshi in her directorial debut. The film features Shilpa in the lead role alongside Amit Sadh, Dilnaz Irani, Kusha Kapila, and Pavleen Gujral.


The storyline revolves around a 38-year-old Punjabi housewife, Sukhpreet Sukhee Kalra, who, tired of her mundane life, travels to Delhi for her high school reunion. Over the course of just seven days, Sukhee revisits her youth, experiencing a range of emotions and ultimately transforming from a wife and mother back into a woman.


Shilpa is also set to appear in KD: The Devil, directed by Prem, featuring Dhruva Sarja in the lead role, along with Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, V. Ravichandran, Ramesh Aravind, Reeshma Nanaiah, Jisshu Sengupta, and Nora Fatehi.
