Acclaimed National Award winner Shilpa Rao graced the Times Now Summit 2026 held on March 26 in Delhi, India. During the first day of the event, she emphasized the importance of enhancing India's soft power through music. The singer captivated the audience with her live performances, including the award-winning track Chaleya. At the summit, Shilpa delighted attendees by performing Besharam Rang. She explained, “Humne yeh gana isiliye banaya tha taaki joh bhi hai, jaise bhi hai, apni tarah celebrate kare,” which translates to, “We created this song so that everyone can celebrate themselves, and I believe the message resonated.”

Shilpa Rao recently received the Filmfare Award for Best Playback Singer (Female) for Besharam Rang at the 69th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2024, where the song features Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. Released in 2023, Pathaan marked Shah Rukh's return to the big screen after a five-year hiatus. Despite facing backlash over Deepika's orange monokini, the song became a massive hit and a favorite at parties. Composed by Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani, the visuals were shot in Spain.
